Compare Jamal with Haley and Marita? Do they all commit plagiarism in the same way?
Do they all deserve the same punishment?

Haley used cutting and pasting some sentences for her late homework. She already knew that it is plagiarism, but the pressure of the late homework leaded her to plagiarize again despite being suspended from school. I think it is definite that she plagiarized. However, Marita’s case is different. She didn’t know that her action is plagiarism. She found sources from her text book and then put the name of the book on the back of the paper. Actually, her action was turned out as plagiarism, but the important thing is that she didn’t still recognize what was wrong. Jamal also committed plagiarism, but the movie shows that he already has enough talent of writing. Therefore, the evaluation of his action of most viewers might weaken, but I think it is surely plagiarism that Jamal turned Forrester’s work in for his assignment. Therefore, in my opinion, Haley needs to get a punishment for her action. Also, Jamal also needs the same punishment of his first assignment even though he is a good writer, but Marita needs to get education, not get punishment.she didn’t recognize that it was plagiarism
